Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!

I am excited and honored for the opportunity to serve as the Principal of Elkin Middle School. EMS has a long tradition of academic excellence. This past school year the middle school was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School. This national award recognizes our overall academic excellence. The award affirms the hard work of our students, educators, families, and communities in creating a safe and welcoming school while highlighting exemplary teaching and learning.

Elkin Middle School is a family with warm and friendly teachers, parents, and staff, and is comprised of outstanding students in grades 7-8. Our faculty and staff are dedicated, caring professionals who are committed to providing relevant and engaging content, while ensuring the academic, social, and emotional success of all of our students. We desire for all students to have a rewarding and memorable experience as we prepare each for high school and then college and careers. We are truly committed to our motto “Every Member Succeeds”. I look forward to all we will accomplish this upcoming school year.
